Aahhh Saturday morning, finally a morning where we can all sleep in…Hahahahaha, sleep in?! I've been up since 4:30am and that's after being up twice with Hannah. I feel like these past two weeks, I've forgotten what sleep is…And I don't even have a newborn yet! Gotta love third trimester sleep insomnia! Ok, enough of my cynical complaining…
This past month, we celebrated Christ's Resurrection at Easter! I'm not sure how much of that Hannah understands yet but she did get the concept of finding Easter eggs, unwrapping them and eating them!
One of the gifts the Easter Bunny (aka Grandma and Grandpa) brought Hannah was her very own camping chair!
She loves sitting in it and looking out the window into our backyard while having a snack! We plan on putting the chair to good use this summer as we do have some camping trips planned! On Easter, we took advantage of the good weather and brought out the camera to take some maternity photos - Carl snapped a good one!
Hannah loves my belly and is sure to give it many kisses, everyday (along with the sound effect "muuuaaaah").
Since we were only able to get a few good shots on our own, my cousin offered to take a few more photos of us to capture this special time!
So I am currently 38 weeks and counting and as much as we would love to have the baby here now, we are all fighting a cold :( We are praising God that we haven't had to take Hannah to the hospital - this is the first cold she's had since September that we haven't had to take her in regarding breathing issues. We continue to pray that she (and we) would recover quickly without any hospital visits…Or else I might as well pack my bag too!
As for other news, we bought a townhouse! Subjects were just removed last night and we are the proud owners of a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2 level town home, with a backyard in the Clayton area! It was a little nerve racking putting an offer in with only 5 days to remove subjects knowing that I could go into labour anytime. But we did it! And I've been having contractions ever since, haha! They are minor, but a bit painful and coming about twice every hour. It would be like us to buy a house and have a baby the next day…I feel like when we do things, its always a whirlwind, we met and got married within 10 months, 3 months later went to South America for 9 weeks, came back and decided to move to Kingston, drove home from Kingston, got a new job and had baby within a month…It just seems to be how we roll! Anyways, we get possession of our place July 1 and are looking forward to being somewhat settled for at least 5 years :) Oh and I don't know if the contractions I'm having are just false labour or the real thing - I suppose we'll find out within the next little while. Babies these days, so unpredictable :)
And now I leave you with one of favourite shots that my cousin took :)
